Youth in Philanthropy

On April 21, at the Carman Area Gala Dinner the Carman Collegiate Youth in Philanthropy Group granted $4500.00.  Hannah Petrie, Gabrielle MacLellan and advisor, Donna Pritchard attended the event.

It is a wonderful opportunity for the Carman Collegiate Youth In Philanthropy group working with the Carman Area Foundation.  The Youth in Philanthropy students share their passion for their community in making a difference within the community, as well the students are exposed to a terrific educational experience.   The twenty two members are energetic and  enthusiastic individuals.  As the advisor for the Youth in Philanthropy Group I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Carman Area Foundation and the Carman community for supporting our events.

Carman Area Foundation

This week the work of some of our animation/film club students was featured at the Carman Area Foundation Gala. The students made four videos featuring organizations who received grants from the foundation last year.  ‎Additional videos will be shown on the CAF website. Bryce Pritchard and Ms. Armstrong represented Carman Collegiate Animation Club at the event.

Bryce Pritchard, Jeff Howie, Geoff Hodgeson, Aivery Peckover and Tabitha Unger worked on filming and editing parts of the videos during our Artists in the School visit with Randy Guest last month. The interviews were filmed by some of our graduated animation club students at last year's gala.
